Rand Soellner feels honored to have had so many of his projects selected to appear in this book, with the likes of Richard Meier, Mario Botta and other luminaries of the architectural world.  Some of the world-class architects had projects in this book that were conceptual, meaning that these particular residential designs of theirs were not built.  All of Soellner’s projects in the book have been constructed and are standing the test of time in the real world.

Rand Soellner remembers being contacted by the author of the book, who lives in Switzerland.  “I got an e-mail from this fellow, asking if I would like to have several of my custom mountain home design projects featured in a new book, said Soellner, “I asked in my reply if there was some catch, and he said, no.  No catch.  I just felt that your designs would be appropriate for the new book.”  Soellner said he was delighted to have his work noticed on the worldwide stage and agreed to allow images of some of his mountain houses appear in the new book about custom residential design architects.  Images Publishing is a first-class publisher in Australia and throughout the world, that has a specialty in the publication of fine architectural volumes, having published the lifeworks of various other architects of note through the years.
