3D videos of house designs is about how a leading Architect who designs residences uses the latest in 3D animated (movie) graphics to help present his company’s designs to their Clients.
HOME ARCHITECTS ® design custom houses for their Clients across the USA. As part of their design process, they are now offering and providing 3D MOVIES of their designs to help their Clients, lenders, and Contractors to better understand the concept of the project.
“It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. If that is the case, then a Movie is worth a million”, said Rand Soellner, ArCH, Senior Staff Architect of this architectural company. Click on the image above to see one of the amazing movies they recently created for one of their Clients.
“The goal is to communicate better in all ways,” said Soellner, “especially graphically. And the ultimate graphic of architecture is either directly walking around and through it, or if it hasn’t been built yet, then by the virtual equivalent, which is a movie of the exterior and interior.”
Soellner said that perspective pen or pencil hand sketches used to be the big “wow” factor for architectural visualizations, for hundreds of years, then colored pencils in the mid-1900s, then magic markers in the later 1900s breathed new life into this time-honored technique, and was also supplemented by very expensive watercolor and acrylic artist-created paintings. however, there was one big limitation: those where all static, single images of only one viewpoint of the project. They were also very time-consuming to create. And you really couldn’t make changes very easily.
Then, the personal computer came along in the early 1980s, but even basic CAD programs didn’t come along until later and those were mainly 2-dimensional. In the early 21st century, some 3D computer architectural softwares gained some traction and now there are some 3D architectural programs that can model the entire interior and exterior of the project. That brings us up to today. Soellner’s firm has specialized associates that excel at the latest 3D architectural animation software, taking his designs and bringing them into a complete 3D model, AND this is then viewed at 30 to 60 fps (frames per second), while making a view path around and through the 3D model of the projects, providing an HD (High Definition) animation (movie) of the project.
This architectural firm now offers these 3D movies of their designs to their Clients, complete with people walking around in the animations, with people talking, trucks and cars moving on the driveways, people swimming in swimming pools, clouds breezing through the sky. Clients can now experience the virtual equivalent of moving through and around their proposed home before building it. These world-class architectural movies are available up until now, only at the largest, most expensive companies in the world. Today: they are available from the HOME ARCHITECTS ®.
